100km, 50km and Relay Marathon Event
After the inaugural seasons success, the Collie River Ultra (CRU) Marathon is back with epic trail running adventures for everyone.
Thanks to recent investment, Collie is one of Australia’s premier trail and adventure destinations. The trails wind through stunning jarrah, marri and yarri forests, across bridges, over logs, along fence lines, across granite outcrops and along water’s edge taking in sweeping views of the Collie River Valley and wide expanses of water including the spectacular Wellington Dam.
These are the best running trails we’ve found, and we’re inviting you to see for yourself! Even better, it’s at a time of year when the bush is lush green and alive with colour from wildflowers.
Perth Trail Series is an event organisation dedicated to making trail running accessible, safe and rewarding to as many people as possible. With an army of awesome volunteers, the team puts on an amazing 90 trail events every year including weekend club runs and ultra marathon events.
All events are delivered with Perth Trail Series famous, fun, supportive community vibe and all offer a scenic rewarding trail running experience. Expect nothing less from one of Australia’s most experienced trail running event organisers.
The CRU100 event is run close to town and is supported by our network of trail support crew across the whole course. While you’re exploring the trails, it’s nice to know help is never far away. This is a ‘full service’ event with all the customer service considerations you’d expect from an industry leader: busses to the start for CRU50 runners, well stocked checkpoints, a marked and marshalled course, and stop off points for spectators and support crews that allow them to take in the best of the landscape as well.
The 100km course starts and finishes in the town of Collie and takes in the Wiilman Bilya Trail! Take off on the main road in town before making your way on to the sexy single trail! You’ll run along the stunning dam, over the dam wall, through beautiful bush! It’s all runnable, making it perfect if it’s your first 100km!
The 100km and Relay start at the same point. Halfway through the Final Leg, the 100km runners split off onto a different trail to collect a few more kms, before rejoining the Final Relay Leg to continue with the rest of the runners to the rewarding finish!
